Named for the Saltillo region of King Ranch—where the brush runs thick and the rattlesnakes thrive—because we don’t take chances in the field and neither should you. Handmade in Texas by the master bootmakers at Rios of Mercedes, every pair is certified strike-resistant against venomous Western Diamond Rattlesnake bites with zero fang penetration. It pairs heavyweight American bison leather with full grain steer hide shafts and a strike-resistant barrier of 1000-denier Cordura, lined with soft, American-tanned cowhide. An 18” shaft guards to the knee, while a heavy-duty brass YKK zipper ensures a secure fit. Underfoot, a Vibram “V Crepe” outsole delivers lightweight shock absorption, grip, and long-wearing comfort. It’s finished with a removable cushioned insole, covered in full grain leather and custom-stamped with the Running W.
