Named for the legendary Encino Division of King Ranch, where cattle roam open rangeland, this boot honors cattle ranchers with every step. Crafted in Texas from rich, aniline-tanned American steer hide, the Encino features a timeless roper profile with beautiful embroidery. A removable cushioned insole brings comfort to a rugged silhouette that reflects the strength of the land it’s inspired by.
Founded in 1853, and each pair is still crafted in their original workshop in Mercedes, Texas. More than handmade, these boots are made by masters. Hand-cut leather is stitched on vintage Singer machines, toe boxes are sculpted and sanded by hand, and hides are lasted and pegged with the precision of generations. It’s not just the process that makes them exceptional—it’s whose hands are making them. With all-leather construction and a fit that molds to the foot, Rios boots feel like gloves—snug yet supple, never slipping or sliding. It’s this dedication to detail that made them the ideal collaborator with King Ranch: two institutions shaped by the land, committed to their craft, and steeped in the stories of the American West.
