I absolutely love the quality of this backpack. The leather is beautiful, the color is stunning, and the craftsmanship is excellent. It genuinely feels like a premium, well-made product.
My only complaint is the shoulder straps. They're made from a synthetic, almost seatbelt-like material that simply doesn't hold its adjustment. No matter how much I tighten them, they consistently slide back to the longest setting whenever I put the backpack on.
As someone who commutes daily in NYC, this is incredibly frustrating. I'm constantly putting my backpack on and taking it off, walking around the city, and navigating crowded trains. Having to readjust the straps every single time is a major inconvenience.
I'll likely have to take it to a tailor to get the straps modified, which is disappointing considering the quality and price of the backpack. This is definitely something King Ranch needs to address.

At this price point, properly functioning shoulder straps should be a no-brainer. It’s disappointing that such a beautifully crafted leather backpack falls short on something so basic. Aside from this issue, I genuinely love the backpack. King Ranch clearly knows how to deliver beautiful leather and craftsmanship, but the straps need to be redesigned. Fix that, and this would easily be a five-star product.
