"Brief Encounter" Bronze Sculpture by David T. Hibler - King Ranch Saddle Shop
Taxidermist and sculptor David T. Hibler has been sculpting wildlife art since 1982. David grew up in Kingsville, Texas and had the greatest opportunity to enjoy and study the abundance of wildlife on King Ranch. David is excited about his bronze "Brief Encounter" sculpture. It's a limited edition of 100 making them exclusive to the first people who order them. David has mounted hundreds of bulls in his taxidermy and has had the privilege of hunting and studying one of nature's wariest game animals. David has developed a keen eye for detail and has sculpted a highly detailed beautiful depiction of this beautiful antelope. The King Ranch pioneered the release of Nilgai in Texas. Between about 1930 and 1941 the ranch made several acquisitions of Nilgai zoo stock and released them in Kenedy County. Today, there is an approximate total of 15,000 Nilgai now on Texas rangelands.
