King Ranch was founded by Captain Richard King in 1853 and is considered as one of the birthplaces of American Ranching Industry. King Ranch covers 825,000 acres and is the home of the first registered American Quarter Horse. Today King Ranch is known as one of the finest hunting destinations in the world. To commemorate this great ranching institution, Beretta has created four shotguns that are inspired by this diverse historic ranching operation. The first is a Silver Pigeon S over/under limited edition that is engraved with the façade of the King Ranch Old Stables built in 1909. The King Ranch “Running W" brand also sets off the scroll engraving. The second limited edition is a Diamond Pigeon EELL over/under that has the bull “Monkey”, the foundation sire of the Santa Gertrudis breed of cattle, engraved on the side plate. In 1940 the Santa Gertrudis breed was recognized by the US Department of Agriculture as the first beef breed ever produced in America and the first new breed in over 100 years. These Santa Gertrudis bulls are still bred on the ranch today.

The third offering will be a Silver Pigeon IV over/under with a similar engraving to the EELL. King Ranch’s Monkey is surrounded by beautiful scroll patterns. The last King Ranch-inspired shotgun is perfect for the collector or hunter. This AL391 Teknys has King Ranch brand stamped on the side of the receiver. Its semi-auto, gas action is smooth and dependable and its styling will be the envy of other hunters that see it in the field.
