Heavy duty construction, placement of the saddle bags, and sheepskin lining make this saddle sit properly on the withers of a horse so it will not slip or rub. The front riggins have heavy solid brass D-rings attached by double lapped skirting leather. The Bob Kleberg Saddle has a slightly wider fork than the Dick Kleberg style. Toe fenders are made of heavy saddle leather for protection. These are always a must when gathering cattle in heavy brush, and helps free a rider from the horse in a fall.
